NH Gleans – Belknap County –Program Coordinator

Hourly Wage: $15/No benefits
The NH Gleans – Belknap County Program Coordinator will work effectively as lead/coordinator for NH Gleans Program in Belknap County hosted by the Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD); able to represent BCCD and NH Gleans in a professional manner and communicate well with farmers, volunteers and other organizations; provide farms with gleaning services in a professional manner; build a volunteer base to glean produce and help recruit other volunteers; and identify local food pantries, soup kitchens and schools who will accept the gleaned produce. The weekly work schedule for this position may be determined by weather, farm cooperation, available produce, and volunteer availability. The coordinator must be somewhat flexible in their ability to schedule their time during the harvest season. If the coordinator has an additional part-time job it is expected that a consistent availability schedule be set with NH Gleans-Belknap County.
Farm to School Coordinator

Estimated Hours Weekly: 20 hours per week, 48 weeks beginning September 1, 2024- July 30, 2025
Hourly Wage: $25 per hour plus mileage reimbursement
Farm to School-Lakes Region is seeking a 0.5 FTE Procurement Coordinator. This person will work with a Steering Group of teachers, school administrators, food service directors, the Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD) Program Coordinator, community partners including farmers, conservation and education organizations, food assistance programs and community leaders, and Lakes Region Farm to School Network to facilitate development of a Farm to School (FTS) Action Plan focused on information sharing with all schools County-wide. In addition, the Plan Coordinator would work with 3 School Districts to prepare FTS Action Plans for each District. The Plan Coordinator works with facilitators and the Plan Steering Team to define the vision, mission and values to guide the Lakes Region FTS Action Plan and school staff to develop Action Plans for three schools. The Plan Coordinator sets up meetings with the FTS Network and the three participating school districts to seek their participation and input, and to identify and address the FTS Network and school district opportunities and priorities for FTS programs. Existing templates and guides, and the Action Plan Steering Team will assist in each step in developing the plan, identifying key partners and participants. Monthly meetings with the Steering Group and 12 network related meetings will be used to keep key partners engaged and informed throughout the planning process. Community outreach for the draft action plans, response to key concerns, and final roll out of the plans will be critical steps for the Plan Coordinator working with the Steering Team. The Plan Coordinator will attend monthly FTS meetings. This position reports to the BCCD Program Coordinator, the lead facilitator for the Lakes Region FTS network and grant administrator.
